Freelance Photographer
I started freelance photography in 2018. Before that, I was a freelance model and I saw the need to get behind the camera. The photography industry in Toronto is very male-dominated and my mission was to empower models in an industry that has historically abused people's self-esteem and self-worth. My main clients were local retail companies. I worked with many BIPOC start-ups. As my career and skills progressed I have been able to work in the Auto Industry. This has allowed me to expand my work from fashion photography to car photography. I continue to work with many different brands, Artists, and Athletes. I have sold my first pieces of art this year and have plans to continue a full-time career in art. I am open to commission pieces. For examples of my work and style please visit the 'Paintings' page located in my portfolio.

I was first published by La Mosaic. Then in two small online magazines located in Toronto. For reference please visit the 'Poetry' page located in my portfolio or visit @Poetren on Instagram.

As a freelance Artist and beginner business owner, I find it important to seek a steady income at this stage of my career. I am employed by a company called Miranda Pyetter Automotive. A social media marketing firm for clients in the Auto Industry. This company is women-led and has an all-female staff. This job allows me to wear various hats as I am able to do graphic design, video editing, and photography.
Education
2017 - 2022
The University Of Waterloo | Bachelor's Degree in International Development
This course taught me to tackle issues of economic inequality, social injustice, and environmental change. I have gained valuable tools including business skills, problem-solving, cultural understanding, economic development, social accounting, and more.
There was a heavy integration with environmental studies, social sciences, and language courses. I graduated feeling confident about knowing how to design development projects that are ethical, environmentally sustainable, culturally responsible, and scientifically accountable.

With this knowledge, I continue to integrate it into my art and art practices. Being as sustainable and resourceful in every piece I create is fundamental to my work. I also hope to continue to work with others who share the same values and create meaningful and impactful contributions to end world inequalities.
